To initiate a trade, ask your Apple account representative or email bmsaservice@apple.com
You’ll need to answer some questions online about your devices and your business, then Alchemy will contact you to arrange free shipping for your old devices.
On arrival at Alchemy’s warehouse, devices are securely unboxed and data wiped, before undergoing full functionality testing, cosmetic inspection, and grading by Alchemy’s expert term.
You will receive a final valuation and detailed condition report before receiving payment to your nominated bank account.
Alchemy uses approved carriers and NIST 800-88 Data Destruction software (certificates available).
Most Apple devices are accepted.
Alchemy verifies your bank details to ensure smooth, secure payment.
We accept most iPhone, iPad, and Mac models.
To check whether your devices are eligible for Business Trade In, please contact your Apple account representative or email bmsaservice@apple.com.
Although this program is designed for Apple products, we try to accommodate everyone. Check whether your devices are eligible by contacting your Apple account representative or bmsaservice@apple.com.
Yes, you may include any accessories, like chargers, headphones, and keyboards, in the same box as your devices when you pack them for shipping.
We can, but we prefer not to. This program is designed to provide competitive values for working devices – it is not a recycling service. If we receive devices that cannot be processed or are past their working life, we can recycle them securely using a trusted third-party recycler.
You will need to initiate a new Trade In order for your extra devices by contacting your Apple account representative or bmsaservice@apple.com.
Yes, but they may impact the final value.
Stickers will not impact the device value, provided we can remove them without marking the device. Engravings and personalization are fine for iPad and Mac models, but result in a ‘damaged value’ outcome for iPhone.
Provided we receive devices promptly and in a condition that matches your description of them, you’ll generally receive the full quoted amount.
Cosmetic damage, such as scratches on the screen or body of the device or missing buttons, and functionality issues, like LCD bleeding, no power, non-genuine components, and low battery life. We thoroughly test and inspect each device to determine its value (Working, Damaged, or Zero) and provide detailed reasons for any downgrades. Devices that are locked (eg: iCloud/Find My, MDM, DEP, etc) are Zero value.
If your device is not in the expected condition, its value may be downgraded to Damaged or Zero value.
Contact your Apple account representative or email bmsaservice@apple.com.
Once you have registered your devices and received your quote, you will be connected to Alchemy to complete the trade-in process and receive payment for your devices.
We will email you to confirm your order details and shipping address, explain the process, get you set up in our accounting system to ensure a smooth payment process, and answer any questions.
To avoid delays and maximize your valuation, complete this device preparation checklist before you ship your devices:
We will send boxes and return shipping labels to your nominated address at no charge.
After completing the device preparation checklist, pack and send your devices to Alchemy as follows:
Yes, you may use your own packaging. Bear in mind that shipping is at the customer’s your risk, so we recommend using our specialist packaging to minimize the risk of damage in transit.
No, we provide free shipping for all Business Trade In customers.
You can monitor the progress of your shipment using your FedEx tracking number. Once we receive your shipment, all devices receive a NIST 800-88 certified data wipe and factory reset, and undergo inspection and full functionality testing. This determines their final valuation of Working, Damaged, or Zero value.
We can only process what we receive. To protect your devices in transit, you may wish to add insurance to your shipment. We can do this for you and deduct the amount from your final invoice.
We will keep you updated throughout the process, and our customer service team is available by email for any questions. Once your devices have completed the testing and inspection process, we will email you to provide the final valuation amount.
You will then need to accept the final valuation amount and issue us with an invoice to receive payment.
No, currently we can make payment by electronic funds transfer only.
We generally provide payment within 1-3 business days after receiving your invoice.
No problem. If you have an order in progress, just email us the name and contact details of the new contact person or contact your Apple account representative.
To avoid delays, please ensure your contact information is up to date and emails are monitored daily throughout the trade-in process.
We adhere to strict requirements to prevent financial crime, such as money laundering. This includes recording key details about the companies we work with and verifying bank details prior to making payment. Your bank details will be checked by our Finance team during a quick call back, prior to payment.
Yes, we aim to make the process as smooth and secure as possible. This includes using trusted carriers and shipment tracking, with the option of insurance, to protect devices in transit, and employing robust, worldclass security measures at our facilities. To protect your data, all devices undergo a NIST 800-88 certified data wipe and factory reset on arrival at our facility. Customers also have the option of using remote device management software to protect their devices from unauthorized access before they arrive at our facility.
Yes, Certificates of Data Destruction may be made available on request.
You may request a return, or we can retain it. There are many pathways for devices which are determined to have Zero value, including repair and resale, or recycling.
Most devices we purchase are refurbished and resold, giving them a second life with a new user.
Business Trade In is designed specifically for small and medium-sized businesses just like yours. This program makes it straightforward to get a fair price for your old devices, so you can upgrade to the latest tech and contribute to the circular economy without taking valuable time away from running your business.
By refreshing and reselling devices, we help to reduce e-waste, support responsible consumption, and avoid CO2 emissions from manufacturing.
We have given over 10 million devices a second life and made substantial water and CO2 savings.
