Our latest green milestone: surpassing the processing of six million devices
Following a strong start to 2024, that has seen Alchemy’s impressive continued growth and innovation, we’ve now officially given over six million devices a second life. This new landmark highlights the increasing demand for quality refurbished tech from businesses and consumers alike. The circular tech economy is gaining rapid momentum, and we're pleased to be a driving force in the change.
We’re on a mission to keep tech out of landfills and help buyers avoid the CO2 emissions that come with the manufacture of new tech. By processing more than six million devices, including smartphones, laptops, tablets, wearables, and home electronics over the past seven years, we’ve helped to prevent more than 420,000kg of CO2 emissions from entering our atmosphere.

And this milestone is a testament to how businesses and consumers truly want to re-use and repair more, rather than simply throw things out.”
Our story continues to evolve every year, and there’s much more to come. Since we established Alchemy in 2017, we’ve already grown to more than $700m revenue, serve customers in 60 markets, and now process up to 2.5 million devices each year. Over the last year, we’ve welcomed 108 new faces to our team across our 16 facilities in 12 countries – enhancing our operations by 90% and creating new employment opportunities in markets including Dubai, Miami, and France.
This rapid progress has seen us earn recognition as Ireland's top-ranking business on the FT1000 Europe, and place 11th on Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 in Ireland.
